The Minnesota Twins made a 2-for-1 trade with the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday.
The deal clears a bit from the 40-man roster while adding a young pitcher with some intrigue.
The deal, as announced by Minnesota:
Twins get:Â Jace KaminskaRockies get:Â Edouard Julien, Pierson Ohl

Kaminska is a 24-year old pitcher out of the University of Nebraska who has completed two seasons of professional baseball in the Rockies’ system after being a 10th-round pick in 2023.
The 6-foot-2 righty has a 2.75 ERA so far in his minor league career.
That includes a 2.78 ERA in 2024 with Single-A Fresno before missing the entire 2025 campaign.
He struck out 10.7 batters per nine innings at Fresno while walking just 1.2 batters per nine innings, an incredible ratio if he can keep anything like that going as he climbs up the ladder.
To get Kaminska, the Twins got rid of a couple of players who clearly didn’t factor into their plans.

Julien was a breakout player in 2023 at the MLB level but hasn’t been the same the last two seasons, in which he has had OPS totals of .616 and .633 as a utility infielder.
Ohl made 14 appearances for the Twins in 2025 and had a 5.10 ERA.
The Rockies can likely make use of both Julien and Ohl at the MLB level, while the Twins get rid of two assets without much value to them for a young pitcher who still has a chance to make it.
