The grind starts now for the Pacers, who have 50 games scheduled between now and the end of April and hope to earn the right to play a few more after that. That’s a lot of time, and a lot of opportunities, for this new-look program to make a name for itself.
“I’m excited to get rolling. I’m excited for people to see us compete,” Gorman said. “I never know how the season’s going to ultimately turn out, or what we’re going to look like early or what we’re going to look like midway or late, but I think people are going to see our guys playing a really tough, aggressive style of baseball, and they’re going to compete hard. If we’re doing that day in and day out, I’m going to be very happy no matter what the result is at the end of those games, but I like to believe that if we do that consistently the results will take care of themselves in a positive way for us.”
