The Los Angeles Dodgers signed right-hander Chris Stratton, who had been released by the Kansas City Royals last week. The veteran reliever is in New York with the team and in the Dodgers clubhouse.

It appears the Dodgers have sent Miller back down to the minors after calling him up ahead of Saturday’s game against the New York Mets. Stratton now has Miller’s locker in the clubhouse.

Stratton has a 7.94 ERA with 16 strikeouts and 2.176 WHIP across 17 innings pitched this season. The right-hander has a career 4.63 ERA with 564 strikeouts across 620.1 innings.

An MLB veteran of 12 seasons, the right-hander has spent time with the San Francisco Giants, Los Angeles Angels, Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals, Texas Rangers, and most recently, the Royals.

The Dodgers bullpen currently leads the league in innings, and with 14 different pitchers on the injured list, need all the reinforcements as possible. The Dodgers added Stratton in light of the myriad injuries to the pitching staff.
