{KXLG – Watertown, SD} The Watertown Arrows high school baseball team saw their season conclude on Friday with a 7-2 defeat against Harrisburg in the quarterfinal round of the South Dakota High School Baseball Association Class A State Tournament. The game was held at Sioux Falls Stadium.

Despite the loss, the Arrows (11-12) had a notable moment in the fourth inning. Treyton Himmerich hit a double to left field, driving in Mitch Olson and Nathan Briggs to put Watertown on the scoreboard. Himmerich, along with Talan Jugens and Mitch Olson, accounted for Watertown’s three hits in the contest.

Kaden Rylance took the loss for the Arrows on the mound. He pitched five innings, allowing four runs on six hits while recording seven strikeouts.

Looking ahead, the Watertown Arrows will transition to their South Dakota American Legion season, which is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, May 28th, with a game at Aberdeen.
