The Seattle Mariners will have a new look for Sunday home games.
During their FanFest event on Saturday, the Mariners announced that they’ll wear black-and-white Seattle Steelheads uniforms for Sunday home games at T-Mobile Park this season.

The uniforms honor the 1946 Steelheads, who played in the West Coast Negro Baseball League. The Mariners will be the first MLB team to feature a historic Negro Leagues uniform as part of its standard uniform rotation.
Introducing Steelheads Sundays!
New in 2026, we’ll be honoring the 1946 Seattle Negro League team by wearing our Seattle Steelheads uniforms every Sunday home game and committing $500,000 to support local Black-led baseball & softball initiatives.

The Mariners have worn the Steelheads uniforms in the past, but this will mark the first time they’ve done so on a regular basis.
The Steelheads uniforms will replace the cream-colored uniforms the Mariners have worn for Sunday home games since 2015.
In addition to wearing Steelheads uniforms on home Sundays, the Mariners are launching the Steelheads Community Fund with a $500,000 commitment in support of local Black-led baseball and softball organizations and community initiatives.
“We are proud to honor our game’s history and invest in the future of our community with Steelheads Sundays at T-Mobile Park,” Mariners president of business operations Kevin Martinez said.
“Through the Steelheads Community Fund, we will celebrate the legacy of the Steelheads, while continuing our long-standing effort to advance access to baseball and softball and well-being for underserved communities in our region.”
