Former Detroit Tiger Brandon Inge headlined the annual Hot Stove Night fundraiser in Flint.

FLINT, Mich. (WJRT) – Former Detroit Tiger Brandon Inge was the featured guest at the annual Hot Stove Night fundraiser at Foutch’s Bar & Grill in Flint Saturday.

The event drew fans from across the state and gave the star utility player a chance to share stories from his Major League career while connecting with supporters.

“The whole point of it is to give back to the youth, to promote better baseball, better softball, and when I heard Foutch’s was doing something in the Flint area, I’m all for it,” Inge said.

Organizers say the event benefits local youth baseball programs and provides a chance for the community to meet one of Detroit’s most recognizable baseball figures.

“Baseball gave me everything in my life, so I owe it everything,” Inge said.

Inge, who spent 12 seasons with the Tigers, remains a fan favorite across the state of Michigan.
