CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) – Weather may impact Monday and Tuesday’s sectional baseball matchups, but as of now, all six games are still scheduled.
The action starts Monday in Class 1, with the No. 1 ranked, reigning state champion Oran Eagles, as they head south to battle Cooter at 4 p.m.
Also at 4 p.m, South Iron will host Galena in Annapolis, as the Panthers look to build off their first district win since 2022.
In Class 2, No. 7 Van Buren visits Bernie at 4:30 p.m. But there’s a ranked matchup north, that will eliminate one of the state’s top teams.
No. 3 Chaffee hosts No. 1 Valle Catholic are both state-ranked and only one of them can advance.
The matchup is set for 4:30 p.m. at Harmon Field.
Tuesday will see Class 3 and Class 4 sectional games.
In Class 3, Greenville, fresh off upset wins over East Prairie and Scott City, heads on the road once again, to Portageville at 4:30 p.m.
Then in Class 4, Perryville, makes its return to the state tournament, after winning its first district title since 1983, with a sectionals match at Fredericktown at 4:30 p.m.

Jackson upset Lindbergh and Kirkwood on the way to winning Class 6 District 1, Saturday.
The victory puts the Indians into a quarterfinal series against Parkway South. New in 2025, Class 5 and 6 quarterfinals will be best-of-3 series rather than single-elimination contests.
Jackson will host the series, Friday at 5 p.m., Saturday at noon and potentially Saturday at 3 p.m. if needed.
