Atlanta dropped their second straight series, and experienced their fourth loss in five games, after Sunday’s 5-3 loss to the Padres. The Padres used the long ball to score four unanswered runs to win the game. As a result, the Braves are back to two games under .500, meaning they are .500 since 4/29.
Atlanta cannot afford to hover around .500 for much longer, they much pick the frequency of winning. While the offense is showing signs of life (especially with Ronald Acuna Jr. back), all aspects of the team musth be productive at the same time. That has been a rare occurrence in games so far this year, and has to be a trend that changes soon.
