Blake Morningstar is coming off a breakout season with the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in 2025.

He had a 3.87 ERA and 93 strikeouts in 79 innings of work. He also allowed an opposing batting average of .235.

Morningstar picked up six wins during the season against Marist, St. John’s, Notre Dame, Florida State, Pittsburgh, and Louisville.

The Wake Forest right-hander was also a first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) selection.

Morningstar and His Role in 2026

Morningstar’s role for Wake Forest in 2026 is simple. He looks to be their ace and the Friday starter this season.

Last season, the Demon Deacons ranked in the top five of the ACC in team ERA (4.99). With Morningstar back in the rotation playing the main role, Wake Forest can get back to those great numbers.

He is set up to be one of the best pitchers in the ACC this upcoming season.
