The Seattle Mariners will be well represented at this year’s World Baseball Classic.

Full rosters for the 20 teams who qualified for the event were revealed Thursday on MLB Network. The M’s have 16 players in the WBC across 12 teams. It’s six more than the 10 they had in 2023. Teams in the WBC have 30-man rosters.

Seattle Mariners announce change to rare quirk in schedule

Eight of the Mariners in the event are major leaguers, two are candidates to make the roster out of spring training and six are a minor leaguers. The group includes two-thirds of the major league starting outfield, their starting catcher, their starting first baseman, two bullpen arms and a top 100 prospect.

Seattle had four known participants heading into Thursday’s roster unveiling: catcher Cal Raleigh (USA), center fielder Julio Rodríguez (Dominican Republic), left fielder Randy Arozarena (Mexico) and reliever Gabe Speier (USA).

The WBC begins with pool play Thursday, March 5, and concludes with the championship game on Tuesday, March 17, at loanDepot Park in Miami.

Here is a team-by-team breakdown of all the Mariners in the WBC, followed by a list of players who are either former Mariners or have local ties.

Seattle Mariners in the WBC

United States

• Cal Raleigh, C
• Gabe Speier, LHP

The Mariners’ star catcher and top left-handed reliever are set to compete in the WBC for the first time. Raleigh was one of the first members to join the team when he announced he would play during All-Star festivities in July. Speier was named to the team Jan. 14.

Dominican Republic

• Julio Rodríguez, OF

Rodríguez went went 5 for 18 with a double and three RBIs in four games for the Dominican Republic during his WBC debut in 2023.

Mexico

• Randy Arozarena, OF
• Andrés Muñoz, RHP

Arozarena was one of the top performers at the 2023 WBC, hitting .450 (9 for 20) with a 1.507 OPS, six doubles, one homer, nine RBIs and six walks in six games while helping Mexico reach the semifinals. Muñoz is making his WBC debut.

Canada

• Josh Naylor, 1B

Naylor, who re-signed with the Mariners on a five-year deal in November, is playing in his second WBC after debuting as a 19 year old for Canada in 2017. He went 0-for-2 in two games. He sat out the 2023 event after dealing with an ankle injury.

Venezuela

• Eduard Bazardo, RHP

Bazardo is set to make his WBC debut after a breakout 2025 season.

Colombia

• Michael Arroyo, INF/OF
• Guillermo Zuñiga, RHP

Arroyo, ranked as the No. 67 prospect in baseball by MLB Pipeline, went 3 for 10 with two RBIs, three walks and two stolen bases in three games to help Colombia make it through the WBC qualifiers last March.

Italy

• Dominic Canzone, OF
• Miles Mastrobuoni, UTL

Canzone is making his WBC debut following a breakout 2025 season. Mastrobuoni played for Italy in 2023, going 5 for 18 with two doubles, two RBIs and a stolen base five games.

Korea

• Dane Dunning, RHP

Dunning, who signed with the M’s on a minor league deal last month, is making his WBC debut.

Israel

• Charlie Beilenson, RHP

Panama

• Abdiel Mendoza, RHP

Brazil

• Pedro Da Costa Lemos, RHP

Netherlands

• Dylan Wilson, RHP

Former M’s and locals on rosters

Three Seattle natives who are former Mariners are on WBC rosters: left-handed pitcher Matthew Boyd (U.S.), right-handed pitcher Riley O’Brien (Korea) and outfielder Stuart Fairchild (Chinese Taipei).

Seattle native and two-time All-Star Corbin Carroll is an outfielder for the U.S.
