The 2026 college baseball season is finally here! As the NCAA D2 schools got underway during the final weekend of January, the NCAA D1 schools are itching to get on the field. 

The CAA is a conference that will see teams go far in the post season and will see tight competition all the way through a very lengthy season. 

Northeastern and UNCW have been dubbed to claim the CAA title in their respective divisions. As the rest of the field in the North division sees a three way tie for second. In the South division, the projected finishing order is tight.

The 2026 CAA Preseason player of the year is Harrison Feinberg from Northeastern. The redshirt senior had an outstanding 2025 season. 

Feinberg posted a .367 average from the batter’s box with 18 home runs and 67 RBIs. The NCBWA first team All-American also had 37 stolen bases and a perfect 1.0 fielding percentage.
