KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Kansas City Royals released the 2026 promotional schedule on Friday, a sign that usually promotes excitement for fans as the season draws near. This year, however, fans of a certain ballpark tradition are left with mere pieces of what once was.
That tradition is Dollar Hot Dog Night, or “Buck Night,” and this year, the Royals are dialing it back when it comes to low-priced dogs.

In previous years, fans could enjoy Buck Night every Tuesday at Kauffman Stadium. Now, though, those hot dogs will only be available for a dollar on the first Tuesday of every month. In total, there will now be just six dollar dog nights.
Fans of the deal took to social media to express their frustration with the new promo schedule.
While the dollar dog may not be quite as accessible at The K this year, other promotions aren’t hard to find. For example, fans can find deals under $5 on beer, soda, hot dogs, popcorn and pretzels at every home game.

In addition to Kauffman cuisine, the promotional schedule released on Friday features the usual “Bark at the Park” and “Firework Fridays” nights, a new lineup of bobblehead giveaways, and other various deals, events and giveaways.
