CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Baseball Heritage Museum is hosting Bob DiBiasio of the Cleveland Guardians this weekend for the weekly Hot Stove baseball chat.
DiBiasio, senior vice president of public affairs, is scheduled to meet fans at the museum on Cleveland’s East Side from noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7.
“The hot stove talk is not really a presentation but a chance to sit down and talk baseball,” museum director Ricardo Rodriguez said. “People will have very intimate access to talk to him. Questions, stories – whatever it is. No structure.”
Each Saturday in February the museum hosts a speaker on baseball. The informal hot stove chat is included in museum admission.
Upcoming speakers include Jay Valentine, who played for the Indianapolis Clowns, on Feb. 14, and author Vince Guerrieri on Feb. 21. Guerrieri is the newly named president of the local chapter of the Society for American Baseball Research.
The museum is at the site of League Park, home to Cleveland baseball, football and other sports for decades until 1946. For a while the Cleveland Indians played in both League Park during the ballpark’s final years and the then nascent Cleveland Municipal Stadium.
Beginning Wednesday, March 4, the museum’s hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday.
Admission is $10 (free for ages 9 and under as well as current and former military with ID).
The museum is at 6601 Lexington Ave., Cleveland.
