Just one year removed from tying the Tennessee Volunteers as Southeastern Conference Regular Season Champions, Kentucky baseball took a dive for the worst this season.

The 2025 Wildcats managed to pull out a winning record of 29-24 but they were just 13-17 in SEC play and ended the regular season being swept by Vanderbilt before falling to Oklahoma in their first game of the SEC Tournament.

Now, Kentucky baseball is on the outside looking in as talking heads and those who cover the sport debate if the Wildcats will receive a bid to the NCAA tournament.

While there are several signs that point to Kentucky edging their way into the tournament, there are also opinions from those who believe the Wildcats will be left out.

Kentucky made an appearance last spring and won their opening game against NC State but lost to both Texas A&M as well as Florida before being sent back home.

Though the Wildcats were handed a sweep by Vanderbilt to end the year, they do have several quality wins on their resume and that should be enough to lift them into the tournament.

Tonight’s Selection Show is scheduled to begin at Noon ET today with television coverage on ESPN2 with the Regional games set to be played later on this week.
