BPCC Press Release

The Bossier Parish Community College Cavaliers delivered an emphatic statement over the weekend, sweeping Richland College in a three-game series with decisive victories of 5-3, 10-4, and 21-6.

The Cavs combined strong pitching with an explosive offense, outscoring the Thunderducks 36-13 and improving their season record to 5-2.

Friday’s series opener showcased BPCC’s pitching depth. Minden native and McNeese signee Brody Bower started on the mound, tossing three innings  with no earned runs allowed.

Jackson Reifel took over in relief and earned the win, throwing four shutout innings while striking out six. Chase Randal closed out the game with two scoreless frames to secure the save.

Offensively, clutch RBI singles from Collin Harris and Kash Martin proved pivotal in the 5-3 win.

Saturday’s doubleheader turned into an offensive showcase as the Cavaliers racked up 23 hits and 31 runs across the two games.

In Game 1, Western Kentucky commit Ben McKinnon—fresh off a 2025 First Team All-Conference selection—dominated on the mound, pitching three scoreless innings with five strikeouts to earn the victory. At the plate, Jacob Poletto led the charge with three hits and four RBIs, while Kash Martin added three hits of his own. Former Parkway standout Brandon Levy chipped in with two hits in a balanced 10-4 win.

Game 2 was all BPCC from the start, culminating in a 21-6 rout. Collin Harris launched a grand slam, Riley Kwak drove in four runs, and the hot bats continued: Kash Martin and Jacob Poletto each added two more hits, while James Reina added 3 hits and 3 stolen bases on the day.

The Cavaliers return to action Wednesday, February 11, with a home doubleheader against SAU Tech. First pitch is scheduled for noon at BPCC Baseball Field.
