Marshall, the 6-foot-8, 260-pound sophomore first baseman, transferred to UConn after a dominating freshman season at Southern New Hampshire. With the Penmen, he batted .337 with 15 home runs and 56 RBI. He was named the NE10 Northeast Division Rookie of the Year, to the NE10 All-Rookie Team, and to the NE10 All-Conference Second Team.
