The Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots 29-13 in Super Bowl LX. That also means the countdown to MLB season is officially underway.

Pitchers and catchers will report between Feb. 9-11 at spring training camps, including the Atlanta Braves at CoolToday Park in North Port, Florida.

Luckily for Braves right fielder Ronald Acuña Jr., he doesn’t have to worry about reporting just yet. He was in attendance at Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Acuña wasn’t just in the crowd — he was part of one of the game’s biggest moments during the halftime show featuring Bad Bunny.

Ronald Acuña Jr. Makes Surprise Appearance During Super Bowl LX Halftime Show

One of the most talked-about aspects leading up to Super Bowl LX was the halftime show featuring Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny.

Much of the discussion surrounding the performance had political undertones tied to immigration conversations in the United States. Nevertheless, the Grammy winner took the stage on the NFL’s biggest night to perform in front of more than 70,000 fans in attendance and millions watching at home.

By the end of his nearly 13-minute set, which included hits from his latest album, Debí Tirar Más Fotos, what stood out were the numerous cameos throughout the performance.

Bad Bunny was joined by several high-profile guests, including Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin — and Braves superstar Ronald Acuña Jr.

The Braves X account even posted about it, saying, “That’s it, that’s the Tweet.”

Acuña even posted a story on Instagram with the two posing together. In other images from the halftime show, Acuña can be seen standing next to actor Pedro Pascal and other celebrities.

Acuña, who is from La Guaira, Venezuela, signed with the Braves as an international free agent in 2014. He made his MLB debut in 2018 and went on to win National League Rookie of the Year honors.

Acuña Looking to Reclaim MVP Form in 2026

Acuña is looking to build off a promising 2025 season after returning from yet another ACL surgery in 2024.

He slashed .290/.417/.518 with a .935 OPS, hitting 21 home runs with 42 RBI and nine stolen bases.

Braves beat writer Mark Bowman believes Acuña will return to elite form in 2026.

“Last year’s flat-footed throw from the right-field corner to third base only strengthened the belief Acuña is the most physically gifted player to ever wear a Braves uniform,” Bowman wrote. “He repeatedly does the unthinkable. This is why it’s easy to predict he’ll be the first player to ever have a 40/40 season after tearing his ACL in both knees.”

Acuña already accomplished a 40/40 season in 2023, hitting 41 home runs and stealing 73 bases. However, since then, he has combined for 25 home runs and 25 stolen bases.
