Earlier this year, Baseball America presented the Top 30 Orioles Prospects for 2026. Now, we’re digging even deeper to highlight prospects who just missed making the cut but still have the potential for breakout seasons or future MLB careers.
Here are the next 10 players to know in the Orioles system beyond their Top 30. You can find the complete index of players who just missed their teams’ respective lists here.
31. Griff O’Ferrall, SS
O’Ferrall played a nice shortstop in his first full pro season but the 2024 PPI pick’s advanced contact ability wasn’t supported by much juice, leading to a challenging offensive season.
32. Sebastian Gongora, LHP
An 11th-round pick in 2024, the Orioles helped Gongora regain some velocity he’d lost as he fell down draft boards. He sat 93-96 mph, was up to 97.9 and can command a four-pitch mix the Orioles plan to add to, building excitement for a pitcher who had a 3.36 FIP and 11.33 strikeouts per nine in 2025.
33. Andrew Tess, C
Tess and Nate George make two third-day high school picks that surpassed expectations in the Orioles’ system this year. He’s a solid defensive catcher at this young stage in his career, and he has the hard-contact skills and ability to control the strike zone the Orioles covet.
34. Keeler Morfe, RHP
Morfe’s upper-90s fastball from his diminutive frame made him a breakout candidate after he arrived stateside in 2024, but finger issues and woeful command made this a year to forget. The velocity remains enticing, though Morfe certainly lost some buzz with his inability to throw strikes in 2025.
35. Reed Trimble, OF
Trimble has dealt with injuries his whole career, but his 364 plate appearances in 2025 were his most, and perhaps best, as a pro. He had 17 home runs and an .827 OPS, and the Orioles protected him from the Rule 5 draft to keep his hard contact ability, speed, and athleticism in the organization.
36. Yasmil Bucce, C
Bucce made it to full-season ball in his age-20 season and had an .814 OPS in 81 games at Low-A Delmarva before finishing at High-A Aberdeen. He controls the strike zone well and has an intriguing offensive profile, but will find it easier to climb the ladder if he can improve behind the plate.
37. Creed Willems, C
A $1 million signee in 2021, Willems keeps improving both behind and at the plate. He had a .779 OPS with 16 home runs and lowered his strikeout rate at age 22 in Double-A.
38. Brandon Butterworth, SS
Acquired from San Diego at the 2025 trade deadline, Butterworth plays a true shortstop and unlocked some bat speed and strike zone discipline after joining the Orioles’ organization, creating intriguing offensive upside in the process. Post-trade, his walk rate spiked and his strikeout rate fell, and Butterworth’s contact profile also improved.
39. Blake Money, RHP
Money keeps adding velocity in pro ball, averaging 93.3 mph this year on a fastball that highlights a broad arsenal. He added a bat-missing deathball and got plenty of whiffs on his cutter as well. Money had a 3.93 ERA with 11.27 strikeouts per nine and a 1.24 WHIP in 121 1/3 innings in 2025.
40. Tyson Neighbors, RHP
A power reliever selected in the fourth round by the Padres out of Kansas State, Neighbors was part of the Orioles’ deadline haul for the deal that sent Ryan O’Hearn and Ramón Laureano to San Diego. Neighbors has a riding mid-90s fastball along with a nice curveball and cutter that give him the potential to make an impact out of the bullpen. His 19.8% swinging strike rate in pro ball suggests that impact could occur quickly.
