Bradenton hosts block party to welcome Pirates back for Spring Training

  • February 10, 2026

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – The annual block party to welcome the Pittsburgh Pirates back for another Spring Training in Bradenton is set for Saturday, Feb. 14.

The party, on Old Main Street between Third Avenue and Manatee Avenue, will run 6-9 p.m. The event is free.

“We are honored to welcome the Pittsburgh Pirates back to Bradenton for Spring Training, Mayor Gene Brown said in a news release. “The Pirates have been part of our community for over 55 years, and we take great pride in our continued partnership.”

The festivities include autograph sessions tent with current Pirates players, free block-party themed T-shirts, a kids zone, vendor tables featuring team sponsors and community organizations, and more.

Pirates VIPs will address fans from the main stage during the event.

“The block party is a highlight for the organization every year — it’s when Spring Training really starts to feel real, with our players and fans coming together,” said Pirates President Travis Williams.

Spring Training tickets are now on sale. The LECOM Park box office hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays when there is not a Pirates home game.

On gamedays, the box office will open four hours prior to first pitch and close 30 minutes after the final out.
