MLB now offers in-market streaming for 20 teams, including the Cleveland Guardians, removing blackout restrictions and making local games more accessible to fans.
CLEVELAND — Major League Baseball announced Tuesday that in-market streaming subscriptions for 20 clubs — including the Cleveland Guardians — are available starting today through the MLB app.
For Guardians fans, the direct-to-consumer option is branded CleGuardians.TV and will allow subscribers located within the club’s home television territory to stream all local games without traditional blackout restrictions.
How CleGuardians.TV works
MLB will both produce and distribute local Guardians games in 2026. MLB said the service “essentially removes local blackouts” for those teams by delivering games directly to fans in-market.
Subscription pricing remains unchanged from last season:
$99.99 per season
$19.99 per month
Fans can also bundle a club’s local streaming service with an MLB.TV out-of-market subscription for:
$199.99 per season
$39.99 per month
MLB said that the bundle represents a 20% savings compared to purchasing both services separately.
When available, Spring Training games for clubs whose local broadcasts are produced by MLB — including Cleveland — will be free to stream for fans with a valid MLB.com account.
“We are pleased to continue expanding MLB’s local media services in 2026, ensuring that fans in each location will be able to enjoy another memorable baseball season on the platform of their choice,” said Noah Garden, MLB Deputy Commissioner, Business & Media. “We are proud of the award-winning production MLB has offered Clubs while increasing the reach of the games, enhancing production features, and offering greater access to the players and game. Additionally, we are listening to our fans who want blackouts eliminated. MLB’s in-market streaming option allows us to remove a point of friction for the fans.”
