Spring Training is officially underway as an important 2026 season begins for the San Francisco Giants.

Pitchers and catchers have reported for workouts this week, with Opening Day just over 40 days away, and Spring Training games are set to take place beginning next weekend.

This means we won’t have to wait much longer to see some new members of the Giants in action, such as second baseman Luis Arraez, center fielder Harrison Bader, and pitcher Adrian Houser.

It was a busy offseason for team president Buster Posey, and the time has come to see his body of work come together on the diamond.

Here’s a look at the projected San Francisco Giants lineup as players report to Arizona:

Adding Arraez, the 2025 National League hits leader, to the top of the San Francisco Giants’ lineup gives the power bats a contact-heavy option to set the table.

Rafael Devers is set to begin his first full season as a Giant after mashing 20 home runs and driving in 51 RBI over 90 games with San Francisco following a midseason trade with the Boston Red Sox.

Joining Devers in the heart of the lineup will be shortstop Willy Adames, who snapped a 21-year drought for Giants hitters by posting the team’s first 30 HR season since Barry Bonds in 2004.

Matt Chapman, Heliot Ramos, newcomer Harrison Bader, top prospect Bryce Eldridge, and backstop Patrick Bailey round out the starting nine, with Eldridge a large unknown in this veteran-heavy lineup.

Eldridge, 21, struggled during his limited time in the majors, batting three-for-28 (.107) with 13 strikeouts over ten games near the end of last season. If San Francisco can get production out of the 2023 first-round pick, it will add to a lineup that finished 25th in batting average and 20th in on-base percentage in 2025.

As far as bench options are concerned, the Giants have infielder Casey Schmitt, outfielder Drew Gilbert, catcher Daniel Susac, and first baseman-outfielder Jerar Encarnacion in the fold for this season.

Mahle and Houser will join a rotation that moved on from Justin Verlander (Detroit Tigers) during the offseason.

Both of the San Francisco Giants’ new starters are coming off strong 2025 campaigns, with Mahle posting an ERA of 2.18 over 16 starts with the Texas Rangers and Houser going 8-5 with a 3.31 ERA over 21 starts with the Tampa Bay Rays and Chicago White Sox.

Webb, the staff ace, is set to join the United States for the upcoming World Baseball Classic. The Rocklin native has led the National League in innings pitched from 2023 to 2025, tossing at least 204 innings in each season.

San Francisco’s bullpen will be heavily reliant on Walker, who saved a career-high 17 games in 2025.
