The Texas Rangers will tap into pop culture, co-branded sports jerseys and local colleges as part of an enormous schedule for theme and community nights in 2026.
Among the more than 60 announced theme and community nights on Wednesday morning are partnerships with the Backyard Baseball video game, Harry Potter, Barbie, Hello Kitty, Star Wars, SpongeBob, King of the Hill, and the always popular Margaritaville.
Fans who choose to participate in theme/community nights will receive a promo item along as part of an upcharge on the game ticket. Theme nights have become popular attractions around baseball in recent years. They should not be confused with free promotional items. The Rangers released that schedule on Tuesday.

This year’s slate includes a Pablo Sanchez bobblehead as part of the Backyard Baseball night on July 8 against the Los Angeles Angels, which is expected to be among the most popular of the draws. The San Francisco Giants’ announcement of the same giveaway drew much publicity in social media circles.
The college nights will include 14 different schools from LSU in the South to Oklahoma State in the North. Eleven different Texas schools will get their own nights and the Rangers will also host an HBCU night.
Also to be celebrated with special community nights are the Mexican community (two nights), larger Hispanic heritage, Asian heritage, youth baseball, mental health, first responders, teachers and two Bark in the Park nights where fans can bring their dogs.
