Tennessee baseball fans are sure to notice a change the first time they watch the Volunteers this season. UT players will have their names on the back of the jerseys, the team revealed in a Wednesday social media post.
The uni change comes in the last season the Vols will wear Nike threads. Tennessee switches back to Adidas on July 1, the beginning of the 2026-27 college athletic year.

The change comes as Vol baseball begins a new era on Rocky Top. With Tony Vitello making the historic jump from college baseball to the MLB as the new manager of the San Francisco Giants, Josh Elander is entering his first season as Tennessee’s head coach.
Tennessee is coming off a 46-19 season in 2025. The Vols returned to the NCAA Tournament, but their campaign to repeat as national champions ca to a close in the Fayetteville Super Regional against Arkansas.
The Vols enter 2026 at No. 14 in the D1Baseball preseason top 25. Tennessee faces Nicholls in a 3-game series beginning Friday in Knoxville.
