Veteran reliever Liam Hendriks is in agreement with the Minnesota Twins. It’s a minor league contract with an invite to big league spring training.

This is a reunion, of sorts. Hendriks was signed by Minnesota as a non-drafted free agent in 2007, made his big league debut Sept. 2011, and appeared in 30 games for the club from 2011-13.

He has thrown just 18 2/3 innings over the last three years.

Hendriks was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma after the 2022 season and beat it. But then it’s been a few injuries since that has held him back.

Hip and elbow injuries limited Hendriks to just 14 regular-season appearances in 2025 and he had a lackluster 6.59 earned run average.

In his career, he’s amassed 116 saves. In other words, he’s pitched in many big spots.

At 37-years-old, he’s hoping he has one last sustained stint in the big leagues.
