The White Sox are out east for a road trip, starting in Queens to see the Mets. Throughout April, the Mets were red-hot, but May has leveled out for the team, with a few players, including one newly-acquired player who you might have heard of, Juan Soto, in a bit of a slump. The pitching matchups for this series are mostly even, so hopefully the White Sox bats will wake up and take advantage.

Before we move to the lineup, the team posted a few highlights from the farm system. Congrats are in order to Kyle Teel and Grant Umberger!

Kyle Teel has been named International League Player of the Week!

He slashed .500/.636/1.188 (8-16) with two doubles, three home runs, six walks, six RBI and seven runs scored with a 1.824 OPS over five games vs. Class AAA Round Rock from 5/20-25. pic.twitter.com/WsZ25fFpyv

The hottest bats are leading off today, with Chase Meidroth up first. Meidroth’s hit streak reached 12 yesterday and is now the second-longest active streak in baseball. Adrian Houser, who won his first game in a White Sox uniform after signing on the morning of the game, will be on the mound this afternoon.

The Mets are showcasing their best and brightest lineup today. Clay Holmes, who owns a 3.13 ERA, will get the start.

First pitch is 3:10 p.m. CT. You can watch on CHSN or listen over at ESPN Chicago 1000.
