LSU baseball earned the No. 6 overall seed in the 2025 NCAA Tournament field, revealed Monday during the selection show on ESPN2.
The Tigers, with a 43-14 overall record, will begin by hosting a regional with the right to host a Super Regional in round two, should LSU advance. Little Rock, Rhode Island, and Dallas Baptist will travel to Baton Rouge for the regional round.

LSU and Dallas Baptist already met once this year, with the Tigers notching a midweek win in February.
Six of the top eight seeds in the tournament field come from the SEC, with Vanderbilt taking the No. 1 spot. The last time LSU claimed a national seed was 2023, the same year it won the national championship.
Head coach Jay Johnson’s team accomplished its goal of staying home for the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament. The Tigers open play against Little Rock, the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament champions.
The Baton Rouge and Clemson regional champions will meet in the Super Regional. No. 11 Clemson, SC Upstate, Kentucky, and West Virginia make up the Clemson Regional.
