Shippensburg University alumnus Gabe Mosser ’18 has signed a minor league contract with the Seattle Mariners that includes an invitation to major league spring training.
Mosser is entering his eighth professional season. In 2025, the right-hander made 25 starts between Double-A and Triple-A in the Philadelphia Phillies organization. He finished with a 6-9 record and 127 strikeouts in 124.1 innings.
Mosser previously spent six seasons in the San Diego Padres organization after being drafted in 2018, advancing to Triple-A. He also pitched in the Arizona Fall League in 2024.
At Shippensburg, Mosser earned two all-conference and two all-region honors. Over his final two seasons at Fairchild Field, he posted a 16-9 record with a 2.94 ERA, striking out 179 batters in 153 innings and allowing five home runs. He recorded 262 strikeouts in 238 collegiate innings.
