The Colorado Rockies have reached a one-year agreement with left-hander Jose Quintana pending a physical, according to Jesse Rogers of ESPN.
This will be the 37-year-old Quintana’s 15th MLB season.

The Arjona, Colombia, native spent last season with the Milwaukee Brewers, going 11-7 with a 3.96 ERA in 24 starts. He struck out 89 hitters in 131.2 innings pitched and had a 1.29 WHIP.
Quintana is the second veteran pitcher the Rockies have brought in this week, after the club reached a one-year deal with right-hander Tomoyuki Sugano earlier on Tuesday.
Quintana was an All-Star in 2016 with the Chicago White Sox and finished 10th in Cy Young voting that season. He’s also spent time with the Chicago Cubs, New York Mets, Los Angeles Angels, St. Louis Cardinals, San Francisco Giants, Pittsburgh Pirates and Brewers throughout his career. He is also scheduled to pitch for Colombia at next month’s World Baseball Classic.
Quintana owns a 3.76 ERA in 383 total MLB appearances, 357 of them coming as starts.
