The Toronto Blue Jays lost the World Series to the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-3, and Shohei Ohtani had his fingerprints all over the series, but Vladimir Guerrero Jr. was unimpressed by his pitching.

Ohtani went 9-for-27 as a hitter with three home runs and nine walks. He went 4-for-4 with two home runs and was walked five times during the 18-inning marathon in Game 3. He pitched in two World Series games, allowing seven earned runs in 8 1/3 innings.

“We knew we were up against the ‘dream team’ and everyone had us as massive underdogs,” Guerrero told Yancen Pujols in Spanish during an exclusive interview. “People were already calling it, swept 1-2-3-4, done. But honestly? Shohei Ohtani wasn’t that tough to hit.”

Guerrero went on to say that Yoshinobu Yamamoto, on the other hand, gave the Blue Jays plenty of trouble. He noted that Ohtani was not as hard to hit. As a team, the Blue Jays did hit well off of Ohtani. However, Guerrero himself only had one hit off the three-time National League MVP.

Guerrero was 1-for-5 with a strikeout and a walk against Ohtani in the Fall Classic. However, that one hit was a two-run home run in Game 4. The Blue Jays ended up winning Game 4 6-2, but outside of that one swing, Guerrero did not do much against Ohtani.
