(KBTX) – The second game of Texas A&M baseball’s opening weekend has been moved to an earlier start time in an effort to avoid inclement weather, according to a release from the program.
Saturday’s first pitch against Tennessee Tech will be at 11 a.m. in Blue Bell Park and will be broadcast on SEC Network+.
“We’re going to see how it shakes out,” A&M head coach Michael Earley said Thursday before the announced change. “I don’t care if we start this game at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday. I don’t care if we start this game at 9 a.m. on Saturday. I’d like to keep three days for opening weekend. But right now we’re just going to control what we can control. And the weather in Bryan-College Station is one I found out I cannot do.”
A&M’s season gets underway Friday at 6 p.m. against the Golden Eagles. Aggie left-hander Shane Sdao is slated to start against Tennessee Tech’s Jaxson Pease.
