Applications for jobless aid for the week ending Feb. 7 fell by 5,000 to 227,000 from the previous week, the Labor Department reported Thursday.

4. Homan says Operation Metro Surge is ending in Minneapolis
Officers who had been deployed to the city will be reassigned to other parts of the country starting next week, border czar Tom Homan announced.

5. AI helping more medical offices improve patient interactions
Dr. Jesal Popat, an interventional cardiologist with Orlando Health, says AI use has immensely helped office efficiency and understanding from patients of their current state of health.

6. Boil water notice remains in effect for Treasure Island, St. Pete Beach, Tierra Verdea
Officials said that residents should either use bottled water or boil tap water before using it for cooking, drinking or personal hygiene, like brushing your teeth.

TAMPA TRAFFIC | The northbound lane on South West Shore Boulevard will remain closed between West Fair Oaks Avenue and West Alline Avenue while the Tampa Water Department continues making repairs on a water main break. Barricades and signs are located in the area to assist with traffic flow. The completion of the work with a return to normal traffic patterns is expected by 4 p.m. Wednesday.
