For the first time ever, Penn Medicine Park in Lancaster is hosting all six District 3 baseball championships. One of the four games on the schedule Monday was the Class 4A championship between East Pennsboro and Boiling Springs. The Bubblers were threatening to tie up the game with one out when Dom Beck hits a hard line drive up the middle, but it’s caught by Eric Foster Jr. of East Pennsboro.Foster would double up the runner on second base. East Pennsboro holds on for a 2-1 victory, winning their fourth consecutive district championship. “I got 20 boys who love baseball. They live and eat baseball all the time, right? We said it wasn’t a good hitting day, but defensively, we saw that. You don’t succeed in one part of the game; you have to succeed in the other two parts of the game. We did the other two today with good pitching and defense,” East Pennsboro head coach Dennis Porter Jr. said. “It’s amazing. We’ve been doing it since we were nine. This team has gone to many state championships, and you know, it’s just another game. It’s great to do it with this group of guys, and I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else,” East Pennsboro senior Chase Deibler said. Deibler threw 6 1/3 innings, allowing just three hits.
