We have a new No. 1 team after the opening weekend of the season. LSU jumped UCLA after sweeping Milwaukee in Baton Rouge. The Bruins dropped one spot after losing the series finale at home to UC San Diego. UCLA will have an opportunity to make a statement when TCU visits this weekend.

Elsewhere, Oklahoma went from unranked to No. 10 after winning three games at the Shriners Children’s College Showdown in Texas. Michigan also jumped into the ranking after beating Oregon State, Stanford and Arizona in Surprise, Ariz.

Arizona, which went 0-3 in Surprise, and Louisville, which lost two of three at home to Michigan State, dropped out.
