Former Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker received an official commendation Monday from Brian Kemp, recognizing his impact on the state and Braves Country.Snitker returned to Atlanta for the honor while continuing his new role as an adviser with the organization during spring training.The 70-year-old spent 49 seasons in the Braves organization, including more than nine as manager. During his tenure, Atlanta made seven consecutive postseason appearances, won six straight National League East titles and captured a World Series championship.Snitker is set to be inducted into the Braves Hall of Fame during the 2026 regular season and will remain with the organization in an advisory role. The Braves open the season March 27 against Kansas City at Truist Park.
