MANCHESTER, N.H. —
The Boston Red Sox held their first full team workout over the weekend in Fort Myers, Florida.
In 2025, the Red Sox won 89 games, marking their first playoff appearance in four years. They lost to their rivals, the New York Yankees, in the AL Wild Card Series.
Looking ahead to 2026, the team is preparing to host its first spring training game at Fenway South on Friday against Northeastern.
During the offseason, pitchers Ranger Suarez and Sonny Gray and infielders Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Caleb Durbin, who will replace Alex Bregman, joined the team.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora reflected on last season, acknowledging the team still has work to do.
“There’s not a perfect team out there. We know that. We were far from being perfect. Even the team that won the World Series is you think about that series, they weren’t perfect, you know, and they ended up winning,” Cora said.
Right fielder Roman Anthony is headed to the World Baseball Classic next month, replacing Corbin Carroll of the Diamondbacks.
Anthony hit .292 with eight home runs and 32 RBIs before an oblique strain cut his rookie season short.
Anthony said he added 15 pounds of muscle during the offseason.
