Pittsburgh Pirates spring training is well underway in Bradenton, and we have less than a week to go before we can watch and listen to live baseball games again.
The Pirates released their spring training broadcast schedule last week ahead of the 2026 Grapefruit League season, with SportsNet Pittsburgh set to televise nine of Pittsburgh’s home games plus an additional six games from the opposing team’s broadcast. Additionally, the Pirates’ March 22 game against the Boston Red Sox will air on SportsNet Pittsburgh’s second channel, SportsNet Pittsburgh+.
All games broadcast by SportsNet Pittsburgh will also be available on the SNP 360 app, which fans can download for free and authenticate with their TV provider or purchase a direct subscription. The Pirates’ flagship station on 93.7 The Fan, along with its sister stations 100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA, will also collectively broadcast 16 of the team’s Grapefruit League games this spring.
Among the games being broadcast on SportsNet Pittsburgh is the 2026 Spring Breakout game between top prospects from the Pirates’ and Detroit Tigers’ farm systems. The game will be played at LECOM Park in Bradenton on March 20 and will feature the top two prospects in baseball as Pirates shortstop Konnor Griffin (No. 1) faces off against Tigers shortstop Kevin McGonigle (No. 2).
The Pirates will also play an exhibition game against Colombia’s World Baseball Classic team March 3 at LECOM Park, which will feature an audio-only livestream broadcast on Pirates.com. Pool play for the 2026 WBC begins March 4 in Tokyo, with the final championship game set to take place March 17 at loanDepot Park in Miami.
