SURPRISE, Ariz.

Former Kansas City Royals utilityman Adam Frazier has found a new home. On Monday, Frazier joined the Los Angeles Angels on a minor-league deal.

Frazier, 34, was a key piece for the Royals. He spent two stints with the organization and fueled their 2024 postseason run. The Royals reacquired Frazier last season as they looked for more veteran leadership in the clubhouse.

In 56 games, Frazier hit .283 with four homers and 23 RBIs. The Royals decided to not re-sign him after he entered free agency. The club is set with Jonathan India and Michael Massey at second base. Meanwhile, Nick Loftin and Tyler Tolbert are vying for utility roles.

Frazier was known for his team dinners on the road. He was a reliable source for younger players and offered advice as needed. Several players noted that Frazier was instrumental in helping them navigate a 162-game campaign.

Now, Frazier will get a chance to make the Angels roster. The Royals will see him twice during Cactus League play this spring. The teams meet on March 2 (2:10 p.m.) and March 19 (3:05 p.m.).

Frazier is the latest former Royal to find a new team. Recently, MJ Melendez signed with the New York Mets and Nick Pratto joined the Texas Rangers. The Rangers also added Mark Canha — who appeared in 46 games with Royals last season.

On Friday, the Royals will begin Cactus League play against the Rangers at Surprise Stadium. First pitch is set for 2:05 p.m. Central.
