The era of FanDuel Sports Network in Wisconsin has an end date of April 14. That’s when Main Street Sports Group, which owns FanDuel, plans to officially end its presence in the state.

The company filed a WARN notice on Feb. 13 informing the officials of Brookfield, Waukesha County and the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development that it was going to lay off two workers. Neither of the workers listed in the layoff include any on-air talent.

The Milwaukee Bucks, who broadcast games on FanDuel, have their last game on April 12 and if the team makes the playoffs it will be put on a national broadcast.

NBA playoffs are scheduled to begin April 18.

The Bucks declined to comment for this story. It’s unclear how the Bucks plan to broadcast games for the 2026-27 season but it’s possible the NBA could step in to provide a platform for fans to watch games.

In a statement to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, an NBA spokesman said:

“The NBA is monitoring the situation and remains committed to ensuring that fans can continue to watch games locally.”

David Preschlack, CEO, Main Street Sports Group said in a statement to the layoffs:

“FanDuel Sports Network is continuing to broadcast NBA and NHL games as we engage in discussions with our partners about our go-forward plans. While final decisions have not been made, we have issued WARN notices to employees, as required by law, in connection with potential workforce impacts that could occur in the coming months. Any and all aspects of the WARN notices can be revoked at any time. We remain committed to transparency and fair treatment of our employees.”

The same day it announced the Wisconsin closure, FanDuel also announced its plans to layoff 25 jobs in Missouri which broadcasts the St. Louis Cardinals; and in Minnesota, which broadcasts the Timberwolves and Wild, impacting 20 jobs.

It’s unclear how many other teams are impacted by the developments with FanDuel.

The Milwaukee Brewers, who did broadcast games on FanDuel, recently cut ties with the company opting to broadcast their games on Major League Baseball’s platform this season.
