Milwaukee Department of Public Works will receive a gift of $27,500 from the Brewers Baseball Club under a resolution sponsored by Alderman Sharlen Moore to fill Brewers-sponsored potholes. The funding will be used to purchase an asphalt hotbox that has the ability to heat both cold and hot mixed asphalt, something that will be utilized for a longer amount of time to be able to fill pot-holes in the coming winter months. The amount received also covers the stencil for 75 Brewers logos over the newly paved potholes.”So, we’re looking at kind of outside of the regular traffic area. It’s going to be on large enough patches to actually fit the logo. Basically, on the newly-patched surface, it’s going to be stenciled right on there,” said Tom Wangerin, street services manager.Under the resolution, DPW will also recognize the contributions with Brewers decals on the equipment. All stenciling will be temporary and will meet DPW standards.
