MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WSAW) – The Milwaukee Brewers and manager Pat Murphy have agreed to a contract extension.
MLB.com‘s Brewers beat writer Adam McCalvy announced the news on X.
Two-time defending NL Manager of the Year Pat Murphy has a three-year contract extension with the Brewers that includes a club option for 2029, a source confirms to MLB dot com. If the option is exercised, it would carry Murph through his age-71 season — right in his prime.

The extension includes a club option for 2029. If it is exercised, Murphy would be the manager through his age-71 season.
Murphy has been the manager of the Brewers since the 2024 season. In that time, he has a 190-134 record. He has also earned back-to-back NL Manager of the Year awards, including leading the team to a franchise-record 97 wins in 2025.
