PEORIA, Ariz. — Through three Cactus League games, the Seattle Mariners have rolled several of their talented bullpen arms, including Andres Munoz, Gabe Speier and Eduard Bazardo.
Jose Ferrer is scheduled to make his spring training debut on Monday against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The guy we haven’t seen yet? Talented righty Matt Brash. We also haven’t seen much of Brash at the Peoria Sports Complex in general for the last few days, as he’s been dealing with some non-baseball discomfort.
Per Ryan Divish of the Seattle Times and manager Dan Wilson, Brash is dealing with a tooth issue.
Matt Brash played catch briefly on Sunday. He still isn’t feeling great. There were issues with the tooth abstraction that led to more dental work and more discomfort, which is why he’s been slow to come back
Since he wasn’t going to pitch in the WBC, the Mariners have plenty of time to get him ready.
Brash was originally scheduled to pitch for Team Canada, but ended up pulling out before official rosters were released.

Now 27 years old, Brash is one of the most talented relievers in baseball. Armed with an upper-90s fastball and a wipeout slider, he made his debut in 2022 and then led baseball in appearances with 78 in 2023. He missed all of 2024 with Tommy John surgery but returned in 2025, going 1-3 with a 2.47 ERA in 53 games. He struck out 58 hitters in 47.1 innings. There’s reason to believe that he’ll be better in 2026 as he gets further removed from the surgery.
–Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh is the most popular player at camp and can’t go anywhere without being hounded. M’s fans love Julio Rodriguez and JP Crawford too, but Raleigh has taken the mantle as the most popular player.

–Rodriguez looks great through two Cactus League appearances, something we talked about on the most recent ‘Refuse to Lose‘ podcast.
–As the M’s try to solidify the front end of the bullpen, Dan Wilson projected confidence over the weekend when he spoke about youngster Troy Taylor, who is trying to rebound from a disastrous 2024 season.
–Jhonthan Diaz is the latest member of the M’s to head to the World Baseball Classic. He’ll represent Team Venezuela, filling in for the injured Pablo Lopez.
