Breakfast and baseball is upon us for those of us on the west coast with the Dodgers and Guardians finishing up their series at Progressive Field in Cleveland.

Clayton Kershaw gets the start, hopefully with better weather than he saw last Friday in New York. He pitched two scoreless innings against the Mets, but a 98-minute rain delay ended his night early, which made the decision to start Kershaw on four days rest a no-brainer.

Kershaw is the third Dodger to start on four days rest this season, joining Tony Gonsolin on May 11 in Arizona, and Dustin May on May 21 at Dodger Stadium, also against Arizona. Those two combined to allow only one run in 11 innings, with 12 strikeouts and three walks.

Slade Cecconi was originally penciled in to start the series finale for the Guardians, but after experiencing groin tightness will be pushed back, per Tim Stebbings of MLB.com.
