How special is this for the city, the franchise, everyone who’s rooted you on to get to this moment? Well, I hope they know Who Dat Nation. You, you guys are coming in the Hall of Fame too. Um, you’re as big *** part of this as anyone. Um, the way that the Who Dat Nation is embraced. Uh, me and my family, uh, for so many years, um, we, we, we, we always just tried to give you what you were giving us, um, which was that, that love and that energy and, um, truly the bond that was created, um, you know, not only every time we stepped on the field, but I think just our interactions in the community, um. Playing in New Orleans is just different, um, and it’ll always be one of the most special opportunities I’ve ever been given in my life. Last question for you, did you ever envision this happening whenever you started playing football? No, I don’t think you, I, I don’t think your mind goes to Hall of Fame. I think it’s just, I’m just trying to make it, you know, I’m just trying, I just want to be *** great teammate. I want to do, do what I can to help the team win. And, you know, eventually I think you get to *** point where, man, the numbers start to stack up, but still, you just, you take on the mentality that you just got to prove it each and every day.

The NFL Hall of Fame quarterback and Saints legend Drew Brees is reportedly interested in getting back into the game. But this time, reports show, Brees could be leading an ownership bid for an MLB team: The San Diego Padres. The Athletic is reporting that Brees is joining forces with Vuori owner Joe Kudla for one of five initial bids to buy the team. Brees played his first five season in the NFL with the San Diego Chargers and currently lives in San Diego.
