Welcome Week Open House for the Atlanta Braves

  • February 27, 2026

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – It’s that time of the year again — Fans from near and far packing Cool Today Park for a chance to see the Atlanta Braves.

“I’ve been a Braves fan since I was a kid. It’s been many years I can’t even tell you. It’s fantastic! I love it every year. I’m excited about it, ” says JoAnn Mastrogiovanni, a local Braves fan.

At the Opening House Day for 2026, the activities for fans included getting an autograph from Braves star third baseman Austin Riley.

Also, the unveiling of Palmer’s Port, a new location at the stadium in honor of the Braves spring training mascot.

“The Atlanta Braves mascot is Blooper and he lives in Atlanta. As we reside down in Florida, we needed to have some offspring if you may,” says Mike Dunn, the Braves’ vice president of Florida operations.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was scheduled on what also is Palmer’s first birthday.

Fans are ready for what they hope will be a memorable 2026 for the Braves.
