The Boston Red Sox lost to the Atlanta Braves 15-8 on Friday, February 27th giving up 11 runs in the 3rd inning.
Brayan Bello making his 2nd start of the spring, wasn’t impressive allowing 4 hits and 5 runs in 2 innings. He struck out 1 and walked 1 and gave up a home run.
The Red Sox’s bats were cooking, banging out 10 hits.
Jarren Duran, Ceddanne Rafaela, Marcelo Mayer and Nathan Hickey all homered for the Red Sox. Hickey, and Rafaela each drove in 2 runs while Duran and Mayer hit solo homers.

The Red Sox will send Sonny Gray to the mound on Saturday, as he makes his Red Sox debut. Gray was acquired from St. Louis on November 25th. Boston is scheduled to send Garrett Whitlock, Connelly Early, T.J. Sikema, Vinny Nittoli, Noah Song and Jacob Webb to the mound.
