The Chicago White Sox have a lot of outstanding prospects throughout their organization. While not all of them are going to pan out, there are many who have outstanding tools, trying to improve upon them before being called up. One of them have an incredible amount of power, to the point they are considered the best in the organization. Let’s take a closer look at who is considered to have the most power for the White Sox.
George Wolkow is ranked as the top power-hitting prospect for the Chicago White Sox

Bleacher Report’s Joel Reuter recently published an article titled, ‘Every MLB Team’s Best Power-Hitting Prospect in 2026’. To rank the prospects, he used statistical track record, batted-ball metrics, and physical projections to help guide the answer to the question. For the White Sox, outfielder George Wolkow was selected, and below is what he wrote about the player:
“With a hulking 6’7″, 239-pound frame, Wolkow has offered tantalizing raw power since he was selected in the seventh round of the 2023 draft and signed to an above-slot bonus. The White Sox have brought him along slowly, and strikeouts are a concern, but he quietly led the Single-A Kannapolis roster with 13 home runs last year, and that could be just the start of a power surge.”
Wolkow had a bit of a struggle offensively outside of the home run total as he had a .679 OPS with 13 home runs, 69 RBI, and 58 runs in 116 games played. However, he has a 60 power on the 20-80 MLB scouting scale for each individual tool. He still has a few years to mature and develop his power tool before making the majors, as he has not played above Single-A at any point in his professional career.
There is certainly a chance that we will see Wolkow continue to develop as he climbs through the organization’s depth chart for the outfield. With an Aaron Judge-like body, it will be intriguing to see if he can continue to mold his body into one that can develop some more muscle in the weight room to add more power to his bat.
