The Chicago White Sox have a lot of talented prospects as the team is continuing their rebuild. However, with the graduation of prospects into MLB, the top prospects list has seen a lot of changes over the last few seasons. There have been players who have seen their stock rise, while others have not been as fortunate, as they saw their stock drop. Let’s take a deeper dive into the prospect who has seen the biggest fall over the last year.
Jairo Iriarte has been the biggest faller among the Chicago White Sox prospects

The White Sox have a lot of names in the top 100 prospects, but there have been some significant drops as well. MLB’s Jim Callis wrote an article breaking down the team’s prospects list, and right-handed pitcher Jaire Iriarte saw a precipitous drop over the last season. He went from the ninth-ranked prospect in the organization to now being outside of the top 30. Below is the snippet that he wrote about Iriarte:
“Part of the Dylan Cease trade with the Padres two years ago, he got rocked for a 7.24 ERA in Triple-A last year after his fastball and slider regressed.”
The 6-foot-4, 240-pound righty has not been able to do too well on the bump. He has a three-pitch arsenal (fastball, slider, changeup) and was a big piece of the Dylan Cease trade. While prospects are not always guarantees, seeing a miserable 2025 season where he was getting shelled in Triple-A makes Iriarte a player who needs a strong 2026 season.
It will be intriguing to see how he does this season and if he can find his way back on the top 30 list for the Chicago organization.
