The Lemoore Tigers baseball team earned its first win of the season on Feb. 25 securing a 5-3 extra-innings victory over the Reedley High Pirates in Reedley.
The Tigers scored two runs in the top of the eighth inning to earn the win and move to 1-2 on the season.
Dallas Neal, Keelin Shiyomura and Tobin Juarez each finished with one RBI.
Lemoore then earned a 6-4 win over Selma High on Feb. 27 in Selma. Tristan Puga led Lemoore with a home run and three RBIs.
The Tigers return to the field on Wednesday, March 4 against the San Joaquin Memorial Panthers in Fresno. They then will play Golden West High on Tuesday, March 10 in Lemoore.
Lemoore softball
The Lemoore Tigers softball team earned a 9-8 season opening victory over Wasco High on Feb. 25 in Lemoore.
Natash Johnson led the way for Lemoore with three RBIs. Kierra Deleon had two RBIs, while Maddison Adams and Jazlyn Guzman both finished with one.
Lemoore will compete in the Buchanan preseason tournament March 4 and March 7 at Buchanan High School in Clovis.
They will open the tournament on March 4 against North High School and Porterville High School. They then will play Chowchilla and Immanuel high schools on Saturday, March 7.
They play Coalinga High on Tuesday, March 10.
Corcoran boys soccer
The Corcoran High Panthers boys soccer team fell 1-0 to No. 2 seed Taft High in the CIF Central Section Division VI Championship on Feb. 25 in Corcoran.
The No. 1 seed Panthers end the season with an overall record of 18-7-3.
Corcoran boys baseball
The Corcoran Panthers baseball team is currently 2-1 on the season following wins over Kennedy, Tulare Union and a loss to Fresno High.
The Panthers opened the season in Feb. 24 with a 3-0 win over Kennedy High. Luis Martinez had two RBIs, while Brennan Botill earned the win on the mound striking out seven batters.
Corcoran then defeated Tulare Union 16-5 on Feb. 25. Brody Frazier had four RBIs. Cortez Portillo and Brayden Espinoza each had two RBIs.
The Panthers fell to Fresno High 8-5 on Feb. 28. Cruz Portillo, Jordan Ramirez, Espinoza and Botill each had one RBI.
The Panthers will play in the Washington Union Tournament on Wednesday, March 4 against Immanuel High. They then will play against a to be determined team in March 7. They will then play at Sierra High on Monday, March 9.
Corcoran softball
The Corcoran Panthers softball team is currently 2-0 on the season following an 8-1 win over Chavez High on Feb. 24 and a 4-0 win over Kennedy High on Feb. 26.
The Panthers played Firebaugh High on March 3. No stats were available at press time. They then will play Avenal High on Thursday, March 5. They play Delano on Wednesday, March 10.
