If Milwaukee Brewers fans were worried if the ballclub wouldn’t have a strong minor-league system, then let’s put your fears to rest.
Guess who’s No. 1 among all 30 MLB clubs regarding their farm systems? Yes sir, the Brewers sit atop the MLB world.

That’s not just an armchair quarterback’s view. It’s according to statistics and data compiled for a new article from MLB.com on the league’s farm systems.
In this article, it indicates that Milwaukee is in the No. 1 position after bumping the Los Angeles Dodgers to the No. 2 spot. Let’s be clear, though: Both the Brewers and Dodgers have excellent minor-league systems.
Yet, according to this article, the Brewers are just a little bit better.
Back in 2024, Milwaukee’s preseason ranking was at No. 3. Then they collapsed to the No. 17 position at the 2024 midseason point. Last season, Milwaukee had a No. 7 preseason ranking, which then moved on up to the No. 4 spot in the midseason.

Now? It’s No. 1, baby, for the Brew Crew. Among the Brewers’ top prospects pointed out in this article include shortstops Jesús Made and Cooper Pratt, infielder Luis Peña, shortstop/second baseman/outfielder Jett Williams, and right-handed pitcher Brandon Sproat.
“The Brewers were already trending up with the full-season debuts of Made and Peña and the former’s push into the upper echelon of the game’s best young talents,” according to the article.
“Then, the organization added two Top 100 prospects in Williams and Sproat as part of this offseason’s Freddy Peralta deal, giving it two upper-level players that could contribute quickly in Milwaukee, and that about sealed the Crew’s place at No. 1,” the article indicates.
“It has elite talent,” according to the MLB.com article. “The pipeline has depth, aided by nice breakouts from Marco Dinges and Josh Adamczewski in 2025. It’s well-balanced with all positions represented in the Top 30. Entering 2026, it’s the top farm system in baseball.”

Imagine Brewers manager Pat Murphy and president of baseball operations Matt Arnold sitting down and looking at all these prospects in the Milwaukee farm system. They might find themselves pinching each other over this list of players getting more seasoning in the minors.
Now that the Brewers can claim to be in the No. 1 position in this list of MLB farm systems, they might use it to their advantage. Imagine a player gets drafted by the Brewers in the MLB amateur draft, and that player wonders if going to Milwaukee is worth it.
All the ballclub has to do is point to the MLB.com article and tell the prospect, “Scoreboard.” This is a great position to be in for an organization which desperately wants to be in the postseason discussion in the 2026 MLB season.
