Los Angeles Dodgers center fielder Andy Pages spoke about how he aimed to improve following a rough stretch to end 2025.

The center fielder put together a solid sophomore season in the bigs, but hit an all-time low upon reaching the postseason.

Pages went 4-for-51 in the postseason, slashing .078/.113/.098 throughout October. Leading into this season, he knew he could improve.

“I feel I can be a more complete hitter,” Pages said.

He’s proven that already in spring, posting solid numbers during the early parts of spring training. Leading into Saturday, Pages is 7-for-19 in spring, and hit a home run in an exhibition game against Team Mexico. Manager Dave Roberts spoke about the outfielder’s motivations and praised him for his performances so far in 2026.

“How he finished last year, it’s a sour taste in his mouth,” Roberts said. “Obviously, not being able to cross the finish line in Games 6 and 7, that left a sour taste as well. He just wants to make sure that doesn’t happen again. But to his credit, he looks fantastic.”

He may have struggled in the postseason, but Pages served as an important part of the Dodgers’ lineup throughout the regular season.

The outfielder hit 27 home runs last year, ranking second on the team only behind Shohei Ohtani. He tallied 86 RBIs on the year, and slashed .272/.313/.461 for a .774 OPS.

Pages narrowly missed out on the All-Star fan vote in July, and managed to put together a 3.8 bWAR season. Along with his bat, Pages showcased a fantastic glove as the captain of the outfield last year.

He recorded 11 outs above average, ranking in the 97th percentile in MLB. His 12 fielding run value also placed in the top 5% of MLB.

Does Andy Pages Still Have a Starting Spot?

His struggles may have taken him out of the final two games of the World Series last season, but Pages almost certainly still has his spot heading into 2026.

Pages has proven himself with both the glove and bat at the MLB level, and he is sure to play an important role in the coming season, especially if he can continue his hot streak into the regular season.

He will accompany Teoscar Hernandez and Kyle Tucker in the outfield as the dodgers chase a third consecutive World Series title.
